Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Tutoring time is reserved for one student, so a canceled session is time that cannot be given to anyone else. This policy explains how cancellations, reschedules, and missed sessions are handled.
Canceling or Rescheduling
The 24 hour rule
- Sessions canceled or rescheduled more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time may be changed or canceled without charge.
- Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are billable in full.
- When scheduling permits, a tutor may allow a session to be moved to another time on the same day without a cancellation fee. Same-day rescheduling is offered at the tutor’s discretion and is not guaranteed.
- No-shows are billable in full.
- If a student arrives late, the session will generally still end at the originally scheduled time and the full scheduled session will remain billable, unless the tutor agrees to extend the lesson at their discretion.
Additional Terms
Notice, tutor cancellations, and exceptions
- If a tutor needs to cancel or reschedule a session, the client will not be charged for the canceled session and a replacement time will be offered.
- Cancellation or rescheduling notice is considered given when it is received by TKO Prep or the tutor.
- TKO Prep may waive a cancellation fee at its discretion in exceptional circumstances.
